COVE PROJECT
The Centre of Vocational Excellence has given New Vision the most exciting opportunity.
They have asked New Vision to improve training in Adult Social Care and we cant wait to get started.
Ideas
- The big idea is to develop staff training that really does support staff to understand what people want from them and to work in a good way.
- To develop this training we need to talk to people from the North East who are supported by staff. We need to find out what matters to them when being supported by the workforce.
- To do this we would need to have a big meeting called a conference to ask people what they think.
- We will listen to what people have to say about support. We will use this information to plan a new staff training package.
- We will work with other group’s to deliver the training as there be too much for us to do alone.
- We would like people who are interested and want to be involved to get in touch with us.
- The next big job for us to plan is the conference why don’t you come along and take part, contact us and we will keep you informed.
New Vision (supported by Gateshead Council) will have a contract with the Centre of Vocational Excellence (CoVE) and will have to meet objectives as part of a contract. We know this will be a lot of work but cant wait to get started.
Gateshead Council has become a Key Partner with the CoVE so that New Vision can do this work, it is fantastic to know how much they believe in us.
The funding will enable New Vision to make big plans with support and guidance from Skills for Care.
New Vision will have the opportunity to develop as a social enterprise and most importantly support staff to deliver good person centred support to people.
This is what we have always wanted to do and are excited about making plans.
